Well I can say I've had many cheese steaks from Texas out to the Carolinas and down to Florida. But at this place it has been bar none the best, I repeat, the BEST cheesesteak I have ever had. If you're ever within 30 minutes away from Vanore, Tn? Yes, it is so worth the drive to make. Oh, and I would be remiss if I don't mention the freshest salad ever. Anyway, thanks to the staff and cook for a great experience. Happy travels everyone. P.S. sorry no photos. The food smelled so good I ate it before I could even think about a picture 😋

Just cheap bad pizza

Love this place! Food is fantastic, no matter what we order.

I had high hopes that pizza would be great.It had a big puddle of oil in middle of pizza.Super greasy and both my husband and I felt sick after eating just part of it. Not edible

Small place didnt even know it was there but after we ate there we'll deffinetly be back the pizza slices are huge and the Philly is amazing very good food and low prices makes this place even better.

The pizza is great at the start, but don't let it sit for even a second. The pizza bread will harden making it hard to chew.

Very below average food. The same could be said for the atmosphere, often the TVs are blaring some garbage programming while the owner and workers stare at you while you eat. The cook likes to get loud and easily frustrated when the restaurant gets a little busy. And with the kitchen and dining room being in the same room it doesn’t make for a pleasant experience.

Average pizza, but much better than Pizzeria Venti. Crust and cheese are good, but pizza could be so much more if they used fresh ingredients. (I dispise canned mushrooms) Garlic knots are lacking, motzarella sticks are the standard frozen kind.

Large three topping had toppings on maybe a third of the pizza. It was $18.50 and I definitely didn't get the quality pizza that you would expect for that price.

The food is poor quality and cheaply made. The pizza has no sauce no cheese just to many of 1 topping. When u ask for more sauce for the pizza they give u meatball spaghetti sauce which taste funny on the pizza. Then u get charged for the extra sauce, which is a joke. The owners r rude and then they get frustrated when they get more then 2 to 3 tables they think they are busy. They yell at there employees in front of customers. The owners are always right and customers are always wrong. They run out of pizza and they are a pizza place. This place is a joke and I would never go back nor would I recommend this place. The Mexican place beside them is amazing tho.

The service was good, prices average. I wasn't fond of the sauce on the spaghetti tasted like ground cloves was in the mixture it left an aftertaste that wasn't pleasant. The meatballs had a lot of fill but we're edible the side salad was delicious and fresh. Pasta is the best profit maker for any restaurant I would rather have a smaller portion and a quality sauce.

Homey local place with Brooklyn Italian owner. Very large slices of pizza and sandwiches with good sauce. $4.99 lunch specials. They also have dinner dishes such as ravioli and salads.

This is a real NorthEast Pizza Parlor! We have gone several times and never had a bad pizza. The staff is super friendly and the decor reminds you of New York City. I highly recommend this place- be sure to try a Cannoli at the end of your meal- they are perfect!

In COVID19 times, Genovese's is wisely accepting take out orders only. Today was my first visit. We ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich and a small pizza. I saw a photo of the philly cheese steak and wanted to give it a try. Cheese steak was good, meat and moist and flavorful. Pepperoni pizza was also good. It was large for a small pizza. We will return there. I liked the owners. Hard working couple serving good food. Reasonable prices. Absolutely no complaints.

Good service. Great waitress. Food was a little pricey, but good! If you go there to eat keep in mind their pizza is really big! A large can well serve 4 people. 2 slices are about the size of 4 from pizza hut.

Went last night around 7:15. Fried pickles are great...pizza and service...less than stellar. Crust burnt, no visible sauce, forgot pepperoni on half. Server when she managed to come around was less than thrilled to get pepperoni for pizza and reply after showing no sauce and burnt crust was "oh sorry" and walked away. Mind you she was busy with the other two tables in the place. We are bummed as it was pretty good last time there. There won't be a next time.

I drive 30 minutes to get this pizza. It's real my pizza. Yum!

My mother went up there around 7:25 PM to order a pizza for dinner and was RUDELY told that “they’re bombarded and refusing to take anymore orders “.! How do you conduct business that way? Telling a customer that??? We used to always get pizza from there, but not anymore and will let all of our friends and family know about this!

If you are looking for New York pizza or an authentic Philly cheese steak in East Tennessee you are likely to be disappointed unless you head to Genovese's. After several years of trying various pizza places in several counties, I had pretty much given up on finding a thin crusted and lightly sauced pizza or a cheese steak on a good crusty roll with fried onions and mushrooms and melted provolone. - the kind I had eaten in Philadelphia and NY as a youth. Today, my son and I had a little time and took the chance and visited Genovese's after it was recommended by a friend and we are so glad we did. After sampling a slice of mushroom pizza and the Philly cheesesteak we know we will be coming back for more. As a bonus, the service was fast and friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Love this Place, Genuine New York Cuisine.We have been coming here for a couple of years. Food is always good, Friendly service. Owner's are awesome people. Our go to place to eat !!!!

The female owner was rude to me:( But the cheese steaks are good so I'll probably go back. She should really be nicer though.
